This has nothing to do with servers.

The post today carried an article stating, visiting some websites are harmful (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/13/AR2006121301209.html) because of spywares, trojans, etc.

I have been thinking that this should be of concern only for users of certain OS+browser combination.

How safe are we using Ubuntu+firefox?

Thanks.

This thread popped up a few days ago that I think you might find interesting:

Of course, there is also this thread, which apparently has made it's way into "stickydom":

As always, due diligence on the part of the user is imperative. Some users will also recommend you install Noscript (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/722/), a Firefox extention that keeps server-siide scripts at bay.
