outlook ldap shared contacts and calender

I am trying to find some documentation on how to set-up an ldap server which will allow outlook users to access a shared calendar and contacts on a network.

Can anyone give me some ideas please.

I was looking at Scalix but it seems a bit overkill for what is required and I could get it to work with Ubuntu server.
