Clarify please. What type of (network service) server? Do the machines you want to make redundant have more than one NIC? What type of network architecture are you working with?

it's proably http running on apache2.0 on both machines... And it's a normal wireless connection... They are in different rooms but the computers are just on the other side of the wall of each other...
