Hello World,
i made an video showing how to create a Debian package (.deb) from a Python program (.py).
The video is here at the website ShowMeDo.com :
http://www.showmedo.com/videos/video?name=linuxJensMakingDeb&fromSeriesID=37
and has its own wiki page with documentation to download:
http://wiki.showmedo.com/index.php/LinuxJensMakingDeb

It was made on a Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) system (32 bit, i386 kernel). The information shown in this video should be working on all debian-based Linux Distros (like Ubuntu).

The voice quality of the video is a bit low (due to technical problems while recording and due to my hard Austrian accent) but i will maybe upload a version with better voice quality in the next days.

Is there interest in making an ubuntu-wiki entry out of it ?

greetings,
-Horst

video will be updated (replaced by a better version) in the next future. So it's last chance to see now :-)
Meanwhile i learned how to make a voice-recording *after* recording the video :D
