It's just a blog. Good luck with that.

Well, there is a blog, but it's not just a blog. There is also a message board and there is hosted file downloads. The site was just moved to a dedicated server this week, but it is a small site so far (hey we just got started!). Unlike a blog we are promoting others to contribute articles, links and ideas. It is trying to take a different angle to Linux gaming than other similar sites by taking the side of commercial indy developers.

I check 7 linux/opensource gaming sites per day, and there's news here I havn't seen anywhere yet. Keep up the good work :) Now I'll be reading 8 a day hehe.

Seems to have a bias for commercial linux games.

Savage isn't an MMORPG. Just letting you know that even a little misinformation could have a large effect on a newbie and lower the reputation of a news site.

I like the site aswell! Looking forward to more news.
Thanks!

That's a fair point, Leilei. I changed the description to MMOFPS.

On Savages HP it says: 'RTSS : Real Time Strategy Shooter'

Hello Moderators: Do you think I could get a stickie like KingBahamut's post ?

Mike: We're a small group right now, lacking a layout artist as you can probably tell! We're working on content first.

Well kudos on the positive response to my rather mean reply! I guess that's a plus for you. Still think you need to polish the site up a bit and add a LOT more content before it'll be one of my favorites. Lots of fresh daily content will pull me (and others like me) in.

I honestly would rather your team work with KingBahamut and Ubuntu Gamers Arena (http://gaming.gwos.org/) rather than in parallel.

O.o that seems kinda rude to say, they're both seprate projects being worked on and maintained by different groups of people. Why in the hell would you suggest that either one needs to just stop what they're doing and work with the other? I'm sorry but that's very very closed minded.

Ok. You can have your own, incorrect opinion. Some people seem to take any challenge/suggestion to anything the do/say as a negative. This is what you have done.

And where did I say anyone needs to stop?

IMHO the problem with alot of linux projects is that so many work in parallel rather than working together on a common goal.

Here its spreading linux gaming. I do not see where linuxgamingworld or Ubuntu Gamers Arena are all that different.

They are both small groups and would benefit from their combined efforts.

So, hikaricore, ask questions before you go slinging accusations around.

Stop being so defensive I honestly don't care what you think.

What I do care about is that you didn't write any of this until you felt threatened. Making yourself clear after confusing people is just laziness. Had you explained yourself further perhaps no one would have taken offense to it.

Your the only one being negative here. My comment was for linuxgamingworld and why I quoted him and wasnt a general reply. ;)

Its a conversation here and I dont necessarily need to spell out a complete plan of action for linuxgamingworld if he/she really sees fundamental differences between the sites. Which is why I asked them: "How So?"

I would go so far as to say YOU were the one who felt threatened or took it negatively.

So I would ask why yo also continue to sling accusations? :)

Anyway, you dont care what I say. :) If you do though, take it to PM. Staring all this negative chat like you did was just so rude. :)

Frankly, I also felt your comment indicated you wanted our effort to stop, based on the context. Your question was for information about us (http://www.linuxgamingworld.com/about-us/) which was already available on the top of our front page.

:p :p Don't be a Linux Gamer Hater! :p :p

Naa... Thats the problem here alot. Meaning can often be lost with a bunch of text only. Doesnt help that people jump to negative conclusions instead of asking.

With a nVidia 7900GT and a 24" widescreen LCD its hard to be a hater. ;)

Heard about Super Gamer 2 (http://www.linuxgamingworld.com/2006/12/super-gamer-2-released) yet? Oh, We made a big commercial game catalog of recent (http://www.linuxgamingworld.com/games-catalog/) releases.
