Using two different Gamepads

I've got two different usb game controllers and I can get either one to work on ubuntu using jcalibrate. Each has a separate profile saved.

I'm not able to use both simultaneously though, and I am wondering if it is something I am not doing, or if it is something that is not possible right now.

I am having the same problem and I would also like to know if it is possible to have two gamepads working at the same time. More specifically I would like to know how to have multiple gamepads working in mame. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

I have found out how to get both gamepads working simultaneously in kxmame. Though it is probably obvious for a more experienced user, it's new to me.

The joystick device prefix should be /dev/input/js instead of /dev/input/js*.
