i read this article
http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/11/14/1714241

it talks about how last minute, Shuttleworth went back and used a slightly modified Dapper theme, instead of the radically new edgy theme made by the ubuntu artwork team..
does anyone know where the original Edgy Human theme can be downloaded from?
i'd really like to see/use/install it.
I think it was in use in the Edgy betas

anyone know?

I didn't really like the artwork. I don't know why but for some reason I can see the WindowsXP logo in the background and it looks like someone sneezed on it.

I am also very dissapointed in the final Edgy Artwork, the logo looks like a lolly pop stick and the word Ubuntu looks like it was originaly on a white background and someone spent 5 seconds cutting it out!

Of course, that is my personal opinion - I just hope they do something amazing for Fiesty.

I think Edgy artwork was almost identical to Dappers.
Anyone know of a theme you can get of the original edgy artwork?
i tried downloading a .tar.gz from the pages i posted, but they don't work when trying to install as themes

I agree with AlexC_ This was my thinking to: "the logo looks like a lolly pop stick and the word Ubuntu looks like it was originaly on a white background and someone spent 5 seconds cutting it out!"

Lets hope Fiesty gets better:-)

I uploaded the gdm, wallpaper, and splashscreen to gnome-look.org a while back.
