Inspired by the monthly Desktop thread on the forum, I thought it might be fun to see some images of what we programmers spend the most time looking at, our IDE and color scheme of choice.
I use GVIM with the desert color scheme. IMO, it's a bit easier on the eyes than a straight black/white scheme. Here it is for your viewing pleasure:)

when im copying from another source or following a tutorial (which is quite often) i set it up like this:

gedit, firefox and a terminal. thats mine :)

Hm, I always split the screen vertically when I read documents/terminal output while coding :)

i find horizontal is better for coding because you often have very long lines/ lots of indentation which becomes hard to read when the line wraps arround
also, horizontal scroll bars are the spawn of satan
