I've been trying to get Nexuiz 2.1 working in Ubuntu but to no avail. I've tried the 2.1 patch and the standalone 2.1 from the links at the Nexuiz homepage but it doesnt work.

If I run any of the scripts on the .zip file I get a black screen with a black an gray checkered box as a mouse.

Is there a deb package anywhere for nexuiz 2.1? I saw one at the feisty repos but the version of libc6 was conflicting. Tried google a billion times and found no solution.

How is everyone getting 2.1 working?

It started right away for me when I extracted it and ran: sh nexuiz-linux-glx.sh
Is your prop. graphics driver installed and working, direct rendering and all?

prop. graphics driver?

I know my drivers are working because Nexuiz 2.0 works perfectly with excellent fps.

Tried the command you said shatrat but I got the all too familiar black screen with checkered pointer. Can't get out of that screen either, I have to ctrl + alt + backspace.
