Problem With apt -get

Hello There. I'm a completely green noob to the entire Linux scence, But am so far really enjoying your distro.

I have a quick Question, i was using apt - get to get some packages, like a have done succesfully several times this week already, when i Recived the following error

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.



I Tried the same thing several times, and with different packages, to the same result.


If anyone could Help me with this, in "noob friendly" language, that would be great.
