cedega hax (CS:S)

ive been using cedega with ubuntu for a number of months and everything has been going great until recently.

with the experience of some really weird glitches via cedega and counter-strike.
while using the recommended settings for steam i experience these more then when not. but what happens is, basically speed hacks, lol. i run around extremely fast, my ping gets a lot lower tho; weird i know. and i shoot wicked fast, although VERY accurate. ive gotten kicked out of numerous servers and banned on some, and IM NOT HACKING!..

trying to tell them differently only makes me look like an idiot. what should i do?

I've heard that the powernowd system service has had odd effects on some games making them run too fast. I don't have any other info on the subject but searching around the forums might help you out. :)

Three choices:
1.) Run up a huge frag count, ignore the bans and revel in your non-hackery hackery :evil:
2.) disable powernowd to see if that is the problem :-|
3.) Tell transgaming about it and wait until they fix the problem ](*,)

thats maybe because linux is a faster operateing system, and you can speed against people on windoze, :twisted: :-D :twisted:

yah lol, im looking into the powerdnow thing, but not seeing it in the settings x.x

ill look more closely..

and i dont really need to hack :P

also, yah linux is the ****. lol, but it's really weird; ill see the server in the list giving me a 40-50 ping for instance. then when i actually join my ping on the scores list is 4-7 lol... somethings really effin messed up

im thinking this might also have some relevance to my power supply nearing the end of its lifecycle.

its a antec smart power 2 and i've read alot about how it gives up within 6 months. so i order'd a new power supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194003) via new egg. should be here this week.
