w00t!!! I just printed the very first time in Linux :D . That was awesome, I had Suse 9.0 and it didn't do that. This was the epitomy for of a good distro :D .

:( I want to print in linux!! Although my HP printer needs to be attached to my desktop, care to tell how you did it? :)

System -> Administration -> Printing

The little tool, took care of everything, it was easy :) .

Seems to be working ok for now, but I seem to be missing a network connection to connect to my dads windows network... :(

You wouldn't happen to know what the name of the program would be to show all networks on windows from your linux desktop.

I'm a n00b, so I can't help much, sorry. I was simply glad to see that I can print like a normal person, Suse was a pain about it.

Un*x doesn't support my Canon S520 printer :( .

Check http://www.linuxprinting.org

There might be something that you need to install since you have a Canon. Usually, it's the universe repository. Good luck.
