Hello everyone i just want to ask .. i got my laptop today cheap used computer i dont have an dvd player on it.. is there a way to get a FreeBSD copy up and running without? Is there any net installer? If there is where? :-k

It's not a DVD, but rather 2 CDs: ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/ISO-IMAGES/6.1/

as mentioned below... the cd images are available. and then there is of course the huge freebsd handbook online that will tell you about network / ftp installations. ftp installs are pretty easy too. pc-bsd is a single cd free bsd setup too. fully compatible. rebuild the whole thing if you wish jusst as if you have a plain vanilla freebsd install.
The freebsd handbook is your friend. use it! :)

Yes, you can net install with just 3 floppies or a single cd.
Just read the handbook (http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/) for all your needs.
