Can you disable beep sound at terminal in Dapper?

But I tried that tip and succeeded. I feel that firingsone's case is uncommon, but more cases should be collected before editing. Would you try this tip and give me feedback in this thread?

I just tried and it worked for me in Dapper (6.06.1).

Damn that beep was annoying!

Thanks you for your reply. Yes, I agree with you, I believe no one likes beep in terminal mode.
Dear other readers, trying this tip will not take more than 10 seconds to toggle the beep. Just click 3 times on gnome-terminal's menu. let's try and be bothered by beep!
