I have a Counter-Strike server running Ubuntu 6.06 that I primarily use as a LAN server. I use puTTY and WinSCP3 to remotely administer to it from my Windows box. Currently, to get the IP of the server I have to have a monitor and keyboard attached to it so I can get the IP using 'ifconfig'.
Is there any way to get the IP of the server from my Windows computer? My current situation works, but I'd rather not have to drag the monitor along when I take the server to a friends house to play CS.
I've tried google and searching the forum, but I haven't been able to find anything helpful. I've seen other people ask this question on this forum before, but I've really never seen a decent answer.
