So I had Ubuntu installed since Breezy and I have loved it, even Edgy worked great! It's just that Novell is 100% legal with Microsoft now. I, as a student, cannot afford to be sued by Microsoft. I need to be able to further my education, and I will sacrifice all that is necessary for this, even if it means changing my OS. So thanks for the good times, but I'm off to better places in life. I hope Ubuntu takes a step follows in Novell's footsteps and makes the Open Source community safer for all.

I'm not sure you understand the issues. Why would Microsoft care if you're using SuSE versus Ubuntu? Legality has nothing to do with that.

Because SuSE users get a pass from Microsoft if IP issues arise with Linux (and they will)?

are you steve ballmer or the CEO of novell? if you are anyone else not connected with either, it shows VERY naive thinking.
