I've been using ubuntuforums RSS-feeds for quite some time. However, there are a lot of uninteresting stuff there, and there are *a lot* of posts. For instance there is stuff written in Tamil posted on the Indian local team sub-forum. Thunderbird can't even read the title properly, and it just fills up my mailboxes.
My proposition:
Set up more RSS-feeds. One way to do this can be to make a division like so:
- Ubuntu Release Assistance
- 3rd Party Projects (maybe split that up as well?)
- Community discussions (as I understand it, all local community discussions get their own RSS-feed already)
(See front page og ubuntuforums.org for the list.)
That way, people can choose for themselves, what to get.
I want to subscribe to just "Ubuntu Release Assistance", a lot of stuff is going on in Community cafe and other places, but I really have no interest in being fed all that stuff. If I want to have a look, I'll see for myself.
Also (or, if this is not possible), I'd like the idea that each feed item title gets an initial comment that indicates which forum it has been posted in. At least, then I can set up filters.
