Holy hell can you guys imagine how much bandwidth Ubuntu's site must use?
There must be over 10 gigs of files in there. Plus they are a free distro.
Your thoughts?

Hmm yeah sometimes I feel guilty over leeching so much without giving back. (can't donate just yet, 6 more months) Wonder how long until we have apt-torrent install <package>

One good thing is that they will now update apt-get to support incremental updates (Feisty spec). Perhaps that could limit the numbers of wasted GB's a little.

Well, not quite apt-torrent install <package>, but still something -> http://sianka.free.frI like the look of that...

There's also something coming soon about just downloading the "diff" between packages and patching them then. - much less to download :)
