fan control for iBook g3 500?

is there a fan control for the ibook g3 500?
i've noticing that my left hand rest area is getting pretty warm.

when i try modprobe therm_adt746x, i get
FATAL: Error inserting therm_adt746x (/lib/modules/2.6.17-10-powerpc/kernel/drivers/macintosh/therm_adt746x.ko): No such device
