start of week in gnome clock?

My week currently starts with Sunday in the Gnome Clock panel. I'd like to change this so that the week starts on monday. Is this possible? and if it is, how do I do it?

One of the first things that should be done before working with different locations and locales is a GOOD and COMPLETE program in these utils to set your locale and your local preferences for different things.
