There's so many!
I am currently playing fish fillets-ng (a puzzle game) and it's great. You didn't specify what types of games you might like... There's all sorts! Can you help us narrow it down?

Battle for wesnoth is a pretty good game and is also expandable, as is freecraft. (It has changed it's name recently and I can't remember off hand what it's called now.) Those are two that I have played, but there is a bett er list at this link... http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/Strategy_Games
Just try installing and testing the games. It might be good if you post reviews and share your opinions here!

Frozen Bubble!
I'd like to second that, Frozen Bubble 2 has just come out, and it's awesome (internet play!)

Also, if you want an RPG and don't care about graphics I'd strongly recommend nethack. It has a very steep initial learning curve, and is very hard (permadeath) but it is well worth it, one of my top few games on any platform, and probably my favourite single player game that lacks a significant plot.

Bunnies is kinda fun :)

And torcs is a pretty decent racing game.
