Hi, first I want to say good job on developing a nice interface for libtorrent in gtk+ .
Second, there are some features that would make a much faster client: DHT is one of them, DHT in BitTorrent comes in 2 flavors: Mainline and Azureus DHT,
Mainline is the one that the official client is using, Azureus DHT is the one Azureus is using, they are different.
For me, Azureus proved more useful and even faster than the mainline one.
So if it's ever a possibility to add DHT and make Deluge an overall more feature complete client.

DHT is included in libtorrent 0.11, meaning it will be in Deluge 0.4

Yeah. I'd like to know which DHT you're going to implement, too.
I heard, that the Azureus DHT implementation is more efficient, but I didn't find much sources about this in the net. Maybe someone can comment if this is true ...
Also Azureus DHT seems to be more popular (just have a look at all these sites offering Magnet Links.).

You'd have to ask the libtorrent guys. I'm not sure myself.

libtorrent implements Mainline DHT... Mainline is getting A LOT better nowadays, and from my tests it connects to as many, if not more, peers than Azureus DHT, largely thanks to the massive uTorrent population.
Peer Exchange is also a very important complement to DHT.... With it, you only need to find one or two peers via DHT.
