I made the ir_common modifications but now, everytime I try to load the new ir_common.ko it gives me the following:

FATAL: Error inserting ir_common (/lib/modules/2.6.32-22-generic/kernel/drivers/media/common/ir-common.ko): Invalid module format

Now, I cannot use Lirc since I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 Lucid Lynx.

Anyone can help me?
