I want to change my username for personal reasons.
The new name should be: Aleve Sicofante
I'd appreciate if some admin could do this for me.
Thanks

As far as i know, there has recently been a change in policy regarding name changes... in that no more will be made.
Go to:
System->Administration->User and Groups. He meant on the forums.

Yes I meant the forum name. Since no more forum name changes will be made, may I ask you to delete my profile. I would subscribe with the new name then. Just PM me before you do it.
BTW: May I also ask why no more name changes?
Thanks

You'll have to wait for an admin to appear and delete your account for you.
No more changes because... why do you want it changed? Why not make a new account? worried about losing your beans and people thinking you're new? Beans don't mean anything.
Its just an extra bit of hastle the admins don't want to put up with, there are things a lot higher on the priority list.

A name change preserves private messages and thread suscriptions. That's why. Can't see a good reason for the newer policy though. It's not as every other subscriber is asking for a name change.
I guess I'll contact an admin directly then.

I'm not the be all and end all on this... there's a discussion between staff going on... you may actually get it ;)

I've also asked for a name change (I want to change this user name to Qew) and personally I wouldn't mind just creating a new account, but I tend to think that making two accounts isn't itself a good thing. If making a new account is fine by the admins, then I'll do just that. Thing is, I saw others asking for a name change, so did a "me too" sort of thing. If the policy of this forum was against name changes, then I would just swallow my pride and move on, but it's not, or wasn't recently. So, if I get the go-ahead to make a new account soley to change my user name, then I'll do so quite happily, beans or no beans (not hat I have many in the first place ;) ).
