I have Hoary installed on my AMD64 and now I wish to make it look as sweet as some of the screenshots I have browsed through in the ubuntu art gallery. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of how to add things such as transparent windows for terminals and such that leave the window bordering and text alone. I have used transset but that affects the whole window, I was to leave the text alone and just have a transparent background. I also would like to know where you get these things on your desktop to show weather/cpu temp/memory usage/etc from. Any help would be appreciated.
