I understand that Linux uses OpenGL as their (graphics framework?). What does Mac use as theirs?

Linux uses a variety of things. OpenGL is just one method. In this case OpenGL is used for rendering 3D graphics. In Mac OS X, I think there is OpenGL, but they also have Quartz 3D and Extreme.

OSX also uses OpenGL for 3D rendering.
