Hi,
I can't seem to find a South African repository mirror, which really sux. Of all the countries in the world that should have a repository for "Ubuntu", I would have thought that South Africa would be 1st? Especially since it would probably cost as much as a Windows distro to update Ubuntu using the international repository with our laughable Telkom rates. The is.co.za mirror has iso's but no package repositories.

I emailed IS.co.za about it, hope theres enough of us around to make it worth their while too, it should cut there international bandwidth usage if they host a local mirror.
Lets see what happens!

Checkout MyAdsl Linux thread (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=120849) for downloading the distro.
Otherwise if you have installed already, go into System->Administration->Software Sources and select a South African mirror under Update From.
Mirror.ac.za seems to work pretty well for me.

Hi,
check here:

The IS mirror worked well for me. I now work for a broadband provider so am less stressed about finding a local mirror.
Good luck.
