This needs more love. Game works pretty much perfectly except for movies which stutter, but in-game cutscenes are fine.

Multiplayer Co-op and Deathmatch are a blast, running a server of your own works perfectly too.

Grab it at: http://www.croteam.com/internaltest/ss_linuxbeta_rc2.zip

Yes you'll need a retail copy or a windows install to copy the files from.

Thank you Croteam! :)

Ahh
Good to see this, I was going to wait for the port to be released before I bought ss2. But I saw it on sale one day for $10 brand new and just could not pass up that deal. I will try and see if I can sneak some time in this weekend to install it and test it out

The current _Public_ beta can be found by following one of the download links here (http://files.seriouszone.com/download.php?fileid=1187).

It was rather rude to post an internal Croteam link on a public site.

The movies stuttered horribly on Windows too btw.

Finally got some time to play this the last few days, had to download the newest beta release (RC2.1). Well I found...
-Objects in levels flicker a bit (seemed to get better once I tweaked the settings down a bit)
-The water reflection do look a bit off (blurry and dull), and when submerged under the water the top of the event horizon (surface....) seems quite dark and dreary (It looked like a bug to me........)
-Most of the movies I saw played fine but I still heard slight stuttering on a few of them (Only playing through first section of game for 1st piece of stone)
-Once I shut the game down my mouse cursor in gnome was stuck as an "X", I simply restarted the gui(crtl-alt-backspace) and logged in again to solve issue
-Frame rate seemed solid for the most part on my machine except when the enemies onscreen grew quite numerous (my machines no dual core but does the job quite nice still)

I ran the latest beta on these specs

2.4 Ghz Celeron
1.5 Gb Ram (pc3200)
Geforce 6200 (128MB) with Nvidia driver 1.0-8776
Sound Blaster Live 24Bit
300Gb SATA Seagate Barricuda
Ubuntu 6.06.1 (fully updated as of post)
(intel 686 Kernel)

I don't know why they coudln't get it to work. HDR is supported under the openEXR library for a long time.

Download from a torrent depending on what country you live in. It could be legal.

There's a beta installer for all Serious Sam games. They're betas, so things may, may not work.

See seriouszone.com for the installers.
