Hi, first off let me say I'm not that new to linux but I'm still pretty new to Ubuntu. Now the problem I'm having is that when change the settings via the nvidia-settings app it has no effect in games. I've tried doom3 and enemy territory and can't get FSAA or AF to work, even though it does save to ~/.nvidia-settings-rc.
I'm using a 6800GT on an amd64 3500+ system but I'm using the x86 version of Ubuntu for app compatability. I normally run my games in a new X server via the xinit command but even if I load the nvidia-settings from and xterm, quit and run ET or doom3 from the same xterm to run in the current X server nothing changes.
Can anyone help?
