View Full Version : Why do some of my new posts not show up as new posts?

I forced a reload to confirm, and one of my threads was posted 26 minutes ago.

Looking on page 3 of the "New Posts" link, and forcing a reload of that page, (CTRL-ALT-Reload in Mozilla), posts from 23 to 34 minutes ago display, but my post is not there.

Just curious...

Otherwise things look great here, and a big TAHNK YOU to the mods and administrators for keeping the information flowing!!!

I think that your own posts are excluded from the 'New Posts' search.

I might be wrong tho. Mine never show up at least.

It takes a while for the database to re-index.

I believe that the database is refreshed only every 20-30 minutes so if you perform a search, "new thread" for example you will see your post only after the next update.
Maybe ubuntu-geek could give you the exact values.

I noticed that the search option "2 days" does the same search as "1 days". Also, since the number of results seems to be limited to 250 (?), there doesn't seem to be an easy way to browse older posts. I assume I'm missing something basic here. :D
