Installing gnome themes in kubuntu (have ubuntu desktop installed)

Hi folks,
well my current "project" being fooling around with looks and themes, I found out that KDE and Kubuntu wasn't that theme friendly as gnome was or so it seems. I already have gnome desktop installed and can default to it. I just wonder will things work ok in case I default to gnome desktop and install gnome themes and widgets?

Please excuse me for my ignorance, I would try for myself but am afraid of messing things up :KS

Those KDE applications might not be as pretty or run the same while in gnome (they will have a kde theme that doesn't much the gnome theme). Gnome and kde themes are seperate. gnome themes will only work in gnome and XFCE.
