Hi guys

I would like to know if it is good practice to install light desktops such as Fluxbox or Blackbox FE on top of the server setup in order not to use that amount of space and have a spare space to be relaxed.

I have only 5 Gb available for my SCSI RAID and I would like to have a small X.

I am building up RAID1 for my new server.
This is the tutorial I am about to follow:
http://users.piuha.net/martti/comp/ubuntu/raid.html

I am used to work on Gnome and its programs. What do you guys suggest?

Thanks very much for the possible help.

Jose

ubuntu-desktop will take up about 2 GB, I believe.

But you can have Gnome without ubuntu-desktop. Try installing gnome-core.

I would advise using Fluxbox or Blackbox, though.
