i was wondering how to move a live distro image to a usb jumpdrive. i get most files to move but some wont. ie. slax, puppy, dsm...:confused:

Check out pendrivelinux.com, there are threads here that give a step-by-step tutorial for doing exactly this.

Well with Puppy you can go one further ... if you burn to CD and boot, it will create the bootable pendrive for you! Depending on the size of your pendrive, this may be even better (although I'm not sure whether the live version uses compression). Also Puppy LiveCD has tools for repairing broken mbr's on pendrives.
