System76 (http://www.system76.com/) and the Colorado Local Community Team (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ColoradoTeam) are throwing a party - everyone is invited to celebrate the release of Ubuntu 6.10 "Edgy Eft". Bring your laptops and join us in taking a look at the new release. We'll have lots Edgy CD's, food, beer, and other fun stuff. --Out of towners are more than welcome so drive on up if your close.

Location: Falling Rock Tap House (http://www.fallingrocktaphouse.com/) - Denver, Colorado
Time: Friday, October 27th @ 6 p.m. through whenever

When is ubuntu 6.10 officially released?. your having a parting in Denver, I am planning one in finland. I plan to have the party of the 27th so it would be nice if the cd's came a day or two earlier.
I wish I could join ya... But having my own here is great too.

Will you still be able to buy computers with Dapper after Edgy is released, because of LTS etc?

Servers will continue on Dapper. Laptops and desktops will move to Edgy (barring any unforseen issues on release day - but everything is looking good.)

Thanks to System76 for making the Party really swing. As always, you can expect a lot from them and they deliver. And for those of you who didn't come...you missed some nifty swag.
