i've seen several thread started by other people who've tried just to get flash to work in general, so i don't know if i'm asking for too much here...

is it possible to get flash to work for opera on the amd64 architecture?

i followed the installation instructions from the adobe site but it comes up saying the architecture is wrong

is there a way around that?
i'm a complete n00b, but i'd go to almost any length to get my beloved Opera running fully and properly on linux, just as it did on windows

any help will be VERY much appreciated :)

PS. i've sure been spamming the crap out of this forum in the last few days..... :p

I think there is a way. But apparently ppl are still having functionality problems. Use Simple64 to get Opera and Flash working. Or you can also you Kliz's Base Script. Both work fine. Couple of links :
