scan question

i am not able to use all facilities offered by my HP 1110. all i can do is print. i checked, and hplip 0.9.7 is insalled on my system...what should i do?

You have to use xsane or kooka for scanning. I can confirm that said printer works as it is exactly the same as mine.

Just select xsane from the menu under Applications -> Graphics or else install kooka from the repos.
