Package may be corrupted or you don't have permissions to open it: please check permissions.

I have downloaded it many times, and i have the permissions. What to do?

Package may be corrupted or you don't have permissions to open it: please check permissions.

I have downloaded it many times, and i have the permissions. What to do?I have no problems with it. I think you have a problem with your local rights. Try 'cd /path/to/package' in a terminal and then 'ls -l'. What does it say?

Otherwise, you could always run it as sudo. My final thought is that you have not set the permission to allow executing of the binary. 'sudo chmod +x python-libtorrent-i386-0.2.0.deb' would do the trick :)

-rwxrwxrwx 1 g1annis g1annis 2474132 2006-10-10 19:39 python-libtorrent-i386-0.2.0.deb

i think that there was an error in the file i downloaded before i dowload it.
Isn't it possible?

There seems to be a problem to the the maternal file on your server:

I tried twice to d/l it with do/l manager (Freeloader) and both times it happend the same:

The file is 3.3 MB. While downloading, after having downloaded just 2.4 MB and the progress bar shows the 2/3 of the file downloaded, suddenly it shows the progress bar FULL, and the download COMLETED.

Also the volume of the finished file is 2.4MB and not 3.3 as it says in the begining. Sould you test if the parent file is uncorrupted?

Thank you.

Well, I downloaded it too, and it is 3.3 Mb, and it works for me. I think most likely you have some connection problems ....

I made an announcement for your program in a Greek forum.
Someone there told me that after 2 attempts with wget, finally managed to download the total file.

I'll try and will reply.

I think you have a connection problem. Have you tried it already with wget? And what about downloading from my server:
--nvm-- it seems my server doesn't like me anymore

you're not the only person that seems to have had this issue, maybe its a problem with google's servers...

Same problem here.

Edit: wget throws up a number of "Connection closed at byte 2863772. Retrying" style errors but eventually completes the download.

I just had the same problem as well. But apparently I had already downloaded the other deb previously from the beginning of this thread, so installed that instead.

Looks like there is indeed some issue with downloading large files from Googlepages sites.

Any ideas of a better location to host the .deb files of Deluge and python-libtorrent?

Any ideas of a better location to host the .deb files of Deluge and python-libtorrent?If someone could provide a repo server, that would be great. Then deluge and python-libtorrent shouldn't be distributed anymore with svn and they can be automaticly upgraded with the update-manager 8)

Erm, sourceforge?
Or a repository

meh, we moved from sourceforge to google in the first place because we liked google code better. not to mention the fact that we'd have to get approval for a project first, which could take a while.

I could host the files on my server, but I'm worried what that would do to my bandwidth, its on my home DSL line.

no, we'd still use SVN. SVN is a lot like CVS, the code is still a work in progress. I would put stable releases into a repo, but not SVN builds.

I know that, but it was asked where the whole thing could be hosted ... and to my knowledge, sourceforse is the only one that allow sizable files...
That, or a private server.. with all the corresponding problems...
