Hi,
I'm from the netherlands. And I'm curious how much people are from the netherlands also.
I’m a Dutch 25 years old student.
The poll doesn't give much information but it's nice to know how much non-dutch people are following this thread
When I first started this thread we had a lot less users. And I wasn't very concerned for writing a few words in dutch in this thread. Let's try to keep this thread in english :

I don't think the poll is going to get accurate results-- people who aren't from the NL are less likely to click on the thread and see the poll :)
That said, I'm from USA, and I clicked it, so maybe I'm wrong.

I'm not, but my friend Auke is... and his little woman Stacey is with him (she's from Buffalo, NY, she's my separated-at-birth twin... heh. or so we claim) ... :)
Y'know... she might not like being called his little woman... heh. Well she'll just have to come here and tell me that. heh. :)

I'm Irish, but have lived in The Netherlands for about 18 years now, and currently live in Almere. I work for an international IT market research company that often comments on issues around linux, MS, etc. etc. Been using Linux for a couple of months now and have more or less settled on Ubuntu

Its got its moments, some interesting insights from talking to vendors about their strategies etc. (especially "off-line" in the bar after formal sessions)
Actually these forums have been a real eye-opener with the breadth and depth of opinions - plenty of food for thought (and great for solving problems - of which there have been a few)

Not Dutch but I can read the language and understand it when you speak. If I spoke back to you in one of my language you would understand me as well and be able to read it.

Afrikaans is very similar to Dutch, and most Afrikaaners kept a close eye on Holland in the world cup

Third generation immigrant from Holland to Canada here, and I consider myself Dutch in a lot of ways. It's complicated, I guess, but it is part of my identity.
