While giving instructions over the phone on how to install a piece of software on Windows, I had forgotten that instead of restarting x by pressing ctrl+alt+backspace, you actually had to reset.. Silly me.
And when I logged into windows this morning on my sisters laptop, I was trying to sudo stuff in command prompt.. Whats wrong with me!?

I think it's interesting that you all are trying to use the dos prompt - i thought everyone would be too frustrated of all the mass of functions this kind of shell has and went over to the graphical interface (maybe that's the windows method to force GUIs)
I have a lot of other problems with this OS. I'm always trying to get everything clean what doesn't work out really. And Ctrl+Alt+Backspace is also sometimes a problem, especially when programs hang what's happening often. (Just got a bluescreen today)

If you have to use windows at work and end up using the cli alot, do a search for how to set up tab completion in windows. It's as useful there as it is in linux.

Ctrl+alt+backspace happend to me too.
And I always find myself scrolling in unfocused windows and nothing happens... This is default in Gnome, XFCE and i believe also in KDE. Really strange that it cant be done by default in Windows... (there is a 3rd party program tho)
And also the volume icon in the system tray. Nothing happens in Windows when you scroll on it :D You have to click it first.
And there is no Garbage Bin icon on the Windows system bar...
I'm glad I dont have to use it at home, but I fix some people's comps here and there every once in a while, but those things really makes me go *sigh*
