I'm considering a Ratel desktop (big spender ...) what motherboard does it use, what brand of BIOS, suspend work okay, where is the best place to get this info ?

Thanks, the system 76 KB does have lots of information but nothing much about the motherboard. Don't get me wrong sure glad to see Ubuntu bundled however the make and model of the motherboard isn't mentioned, I even poked around in the forum hoping to come across something ;)

hi rfruth - the motherboard is built by Asus. It's built specifically for the system so the model number doesn't help much (I don't actually have it handy.) Here are detailed specs on the board:

Thanks Carl (and all) if the power supply craps out can I replace it with a "standard" one or is the chassis unique ?

Yes - the power supply can be replaced with a standard ATX power supply. We of course warranty all of the components.
