Deluge, which just released v0.2, is still shipping with the artwork from when it used to be called gTorrent. Now that the name has changed, I think it's appropriate that the artwork be changed as well.
The task? Design an icon for Deluge. As the word deluge means an overflowing of water or a drenching rain, I'd like the artwork to reflect this.
Here are the guidelines for any submissions:
The image should involve a 'torrent' of water, such as a waterfall, etc.
The image should be tango-ish, and preferably conform to the Tango Style Guidelines (http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Theme_Guidelines)
If possible, I'd like submissions to be in a scalable .svg format. If not, a .png of size at least 128x128 (the image should be square)
The artwork can not have any licensing issues attached to it, I believe a Creative Commons license is what I'm looking for here (?)
You can post submissions by posting them as an attachment to a reply in this thread, linking to them, or emailing them to me. My email address is zach at my website's domain (see sig). Don't email unless you must, as I'd like the submissions to be here in the forum so other users can comment.
I may propose a few designs myself, but that doesn't mean I'm automatically going to use my artwork. I just started playing around with Inkscape, and by no means am I an artist.
So that's it, go to work. Of course, the artist of the final design we settle on will get their name in the credits, and in the 'About' dialog.
