Hey guys, I want to release USP2 with recently used apps/documents plugins. Currently I am working on the recently used apps plugin (more difficult as it is not supported natively by gnome-panel).
Recent documents are supported however in gnome and there are python modules to help (I think the data is stored in an XML file in the users directory).
Anyone willing to give the recently used documents a try? I will do all the graphical stuff if you want, I just need the framework to provide the data...

Recently used documents is the only thing that is missing for me...
Unfortunatelly, I'm not a coder, so I can't help much.
But as I know the way recent documents are handled is different in dapper and will be different in edgy (changes in gtk).

Keep up the good work!

I wasn't even aware of this :-S As long as they keep the logged file in the users home directory we should be fine with Malac's framework..
Thanks for your research!

I don't know if this helps you at all Chanders, but this is something edgy will bring you... http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/gtk/RecentDocuments.html
