howto write a script to protect the start of an application using password for example thunderbird ?
I have dapper drake installed.

scriptwise there isn't any solution that cannot be byassed, since a script does nothing but invoking commands the user could invoke. So it would only be a matter of figuring out what commands the script is invoking.

What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there is an easier way that involves using filesystem permissions?
