Sorry if this doesn't belong here... just delete it then please.

Ok i downloaded Xubuntu Edgy knot 3

After a download and a burn I remember they call 'em all practically the same

When booted it looked like this : (2nd pic on the right - bootsplash)

http://shots.osdir.com/slideshows/slideshow.php?release=740&slide=4&title=xubuntu+6.10+knot+3+screenshots

*can't post pic??*

Plainforward KUBUNTU screen which hasbeen (crappily) painted over with an X (over the K) and a figure that's supposed to look like a mouse in the logo!!!
My 2 year-old son (which i don't have) could have made a better drawing etc.

I don't want to flame the Xu-team,but this is ridiculous. stick with the classic boot, but this made me want to abort my install -- besides scaring me for thinking i burnt the wrong ISO

Either way i love Xfce and Xubuntu

EDIT : after a upgrade etc splash looks way more advanced. Guess it was just temporarily. any thoughts on this "joke" ?

Yeah what is that? That looks awful. Surely that's a joke. Maybe they're using that until they get the artwork finalized?

Knot3 is an alpha, so you have give the developers a break. Since it's not an official release yet. Don't worry all in due time it will have it's own boot screen.
