Hello
I run Ubuntu Linux 6.06 LTS. I use KDE 3.5.2 GUI.
I encountered a VERY strange problem: sometimes(very rarely) when I want to paste some text I previously copied, instead of that text, I pasted some fragment of text that belong to other workstation on the LAN(for example a fragment of email) .

I can't explain this, and I can't figure out how to reproduce it. I see this as a possible security issue because the pasted text could be somebody else's private information(password, credit card number, etc).

I googled a while for similar problems, but found nothing relevant.

So, pliz, if anybody had this kind of problems, speak NOW! :)
A relevant link, an advise, are very welcomed! :-D

Me again...
I know that I ommit to give some details about the network I'm in, kernel I'm running, the soft that I use, the copy->paste method, etc etc.
That is only because I expected some story which resembles mine, and then I would've start the detailed discussion
Anyway, since there's no answer, I guess some details would be useful:
- the stations in the LAN(Linux stations) have their home directories mounted through NFS(could nfsd be a suspect??!)
- the problem with copy->paste was in Firefox and KWrite...I think(don't remember exactly) I used middle-button paste method...

I'm still waiting for a clue, or some similar "story"...:P
:D
Thanks!

I've never heard of anything like this, so consider this a *bump*.

Hi,
I know that this sounds strange, maybe ridiculous, but this is what happend!
Take your time and google awhile for things like "strange clipboard behavior", or "ctrl c security issue", and you'll find some strange stories...hmmm..well, maybe not so strange like mine ...but, anyway...
Here are some links:

In conclusion, the problem exists, and I still hope that somebody out there encountered it, and will reply. :)
