I mistakenly deleted the root@localhost record,.
Removed MySQL from the repository, and Reinstalled MySQL again,. and Now I got the following error message when trying to run the mysql:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through sock '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
I tried a solution which was posted in one of the threads on this forum but didn't succeed with it.
More over I searched /var/run/mysqld for the file and there was nothing there "mysqld.sock" has compleatly gone.
What does this file contains,. can I make a new file so the mysql will work properly?
