Folks, I have installed Ubuntu 6.06.1 server on a Dell PowerEdge 4400 server for use in a K-12 school environment.
I want to add GUI to the server as I am used to the SUSE server from Novell, however when I try to follow the instructions in the forum to install the ubuntu-desktop I get the following error message that says, "Couldn't find package ubuntu-dekstop"
And ideas on this?
Should I just install Ubuntu 6.06.1 desktop edition?
My purpose for this server is to run an application using Samba and perhaps get LDAP to use Windows AD authentication for student users... Any help / ideas are much appreciated.
