So I installed Stepmania 3.9 source onto Ubuntu, successfully installed it and everything. It loads all the songs when I run it, but once its done doing this, it crashes and terminal gives me this:

thats all the output from right after I do ./stepmania

any help on how to deal with this ptrace issue? thanks in advance.

I'm good friends with one of the Stepmania devs and he informs me that Stepmania 4.0 will not be out soon. He says to read the Stepmania wiki / go to the Stepmania forums at Stepmania.com. I'll get him to reply here also.
