I am trying to install software using apt / add-remove packages / Synaptic package manager. however nothing gets installed as the APT is not able to access repo data. I updated repo data still nothing is happening. I have attached screenshots pl help.

It seems apt is not able to connect to archive.ubuntu.com(1.0.0.0). Is something related to IPV6 wrong

there is some problem with dns name resolving in my system . I changed the web addresses in /etc/apt/sources.list to ipv4 addresses which i obtained after pinging and now everything is working. Even i have resolved problems with Gaim and Evolution using the same method. I am not sure but this is probably a bug . I hope there's a fix for this.
