ALi 5455 Sound how-to

As simple as the solution may seem, finding it was quite a pain.

I have an ALi 5455 AC'97 soundchip in my laptop, but the ALSA driver (intel8x0) will not work properly! It generates choppy sound and music is played way too fast.
